My inspiration is light and its corollary, shade.
how light reveals form, creates pattern, establishes mood,
how it diffuses, bleaches, and reveals the subtleties of colour, and in colour, the delight of harmonious colours,
the excitement of opposite colours, the vibration between warm and cool colours,
the drama of juxtaposed tonal contrasts.

My intent is to tell a compelling story, my own creation.
How I “see” a scene.
It requires eliminating what detracts from the painting message and usually some exaggeration, 
possibly even outright invention.
I am not a camera recording something.
I am an artist attempting to delight you with my vision,
my creation.
